Maraschino cherries
Brown sugar
Pineapple juice
Honey
Stone ground or Dijon mustard
Soy sauce
Apple cider vinegar
Ground cinnamon
Ground cloves
Garlic powder
Toothpicks for securing pineapple and cherries

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
3. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and spices.
4. Simmer the mixture over medium heat until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
5. Place the ham in a roasting pan and brush it generously with the glaze.
6. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries on the ham, securing them with toothpicks.
7. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes per pound.
8. Every 30 minutes, baste the ham with more glaze.
9. During the last 20 minutes, remove the foil and brush with more glaze for a caramelized finish.
10. Optional: Broil the ham for 2-3 minutes for a deeper caramelization.
11. Remove from oven and let the ham rest for 15 minutes before carving.
12. Brush with reserved glaze before serving.

Notes

Score the ham in a diamond pattern before glazing to help the flavors seep in and create a beautiful presentation.

Baste the ham with glaze multiple times during baking to keep it moist and build up a rich, caramelized coating.

Let the ham rest for at least 15 minutes after baking to allow the juices to redistribute for tender and flavorful slices.
