Instructions
1. Prepare the cookie base by using round sugar cookies or Oreos.
2. Melt white chocolate or candy coating in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
3. Dip each cookie into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely.
4. Place the coated cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Sprinkle white sanding sugar over the cookies while the coating is still wet to create a furry texture.
6. Let the coated cookies set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until firm.
7. Use a small amount of melted white chocolate or frosting to attach candy eyes to the cookie.
8. Place an M&M or small round candy in the center as the polar bear’s nose.
9. Cut mini marshmallows or use small candy pieces for the ears and attach them with melted chocolate or frosting.
10. Let the cookies set completely before serving to ensure the decorations stay in place.
11. Serve and enjoy as a festive winter or holiday treat.
Notes
Make the cookies extra fun by letting kids choose their own candy decorations for faces.
For a fluffier look, roll the coated cookies in white sanding sugar while the chocolate is still wet.
If you want a crunchy contrast, use Oreos as the base instead of soft sugar cookies.
