Ingredients
– 1/3 cup warm milk
– 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
– 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 2 teaspoons grated garlic
– 3 to 4 tablespoons water for kneading
– 2 tablespoons chopped coriander or cilantro leaves
– 3 tablespoons melted butter
– 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
Instructions
1-First, whisk together 1/3 cup warm milk, 2 teaspoons active dry yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2-Next, in a separate bowl, mix 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 2 teaspoons grated garlic.
3-Add the yeast mixture to the bowl and knead with 3 to 4 tablespoons water until a soft, smooth dough forms.
4-Lightly oil the dough, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for at least 2 hours.
5-Divide the dough into 8 balls and roll each out to Β½ inch thickness.
6-In another bowl, mix 2 tablespoons chopped coriander or cilantro leaves, 3 tablespoons melted butter, and 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic to make the garlic butter, then brush it onto the rolled dough.
7-Preheat an air fryer to 350Β°F, lightly oil the basket, place one naan in, and cook for 7-8 minutes on one side until golden brown without flipping.
8-Brush the cooked naan with the garlic butter immediately and repeat with the remaining dough balls. Serve warm.
Notes
𧫠Use warm milk (not hot) to activate yeast properly.
π€ A food processor helps kneading but avoid overmixing to keep dough soft.
π₯ Preheat air fryer for even cooking and avoid flipping naan to maintain soft texture.
