Ingredients
– 2 cups boiling water
– 2 cups sugar
– 1 box (3.4 oz) strawberry or raspberry gelatin mix
– 1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice
– 1 tablespoon almond extract
– 8 cups cold water
Instructions
1-Boil 2 cups of water and dissolve the sugar in it. Remove from heat to let it cool slightly.
2-Stir in the gelatin mix until it’s fully dissolved, then set the mixture aside for a moment.
3-In a large container, combine the pineapple juice, almond extract, and cold water. Gradually add the hot gelatin mixture while stirring well to blend everything smoothly. For more pineapple-inspired recipes, check out our pineapple cucumber agua fresca.
4-Cover and freeze the punch overnight. Before serving, let it thaw until it reaches a slushy consistency, which makes it extra refreshing.
Notes
π‘ Use a large container or freezer bags to allow enough space for the punch to expand during freezing.
β³ Stir the punch as it thaws to break up ice and speed up the thawing process.
βοΈ This punch stays icy cold without the need for ice cubes, preventing dilution of flavors.
