Ingredients
8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
1 pound ground beef
6 strips bacon, diced
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 cup water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
barbecue sauce for added flavor
prepared mustard for added flavor
Instructions
1-Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente for the best texture.
2-In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain grease and set aside.
3-In the same skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Discard drippings.
4-Drain cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Stir in condensed tomato soup, water, cooked beef, and bacon. Heat through.
5-Remove from heat, sprinkle with shredded cheese, cover, and let stand for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
6-Serve with barbecue sauce and mustard if desired for extra flavor.
Notes
