Ingredients
– 2 small cabbage heads
– 3 tablespoons olive oil (or alternative oils like avocado, canola, or sunflower)
– ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
– 2 teaspoons paprika
– 1 tablespoon garlic powder
– red pepper flakes for added heat
Instructions
1-Remove stems: Remove stems from the 2 small cabbage heads, then cut each head in half and halve again to make four thick slices, about ¾ to 1 inch thick.
2-Arrange slices: Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they’re spaced out for even cooking.
3-Brush both sides: Brush both sides of each cabbage steak thoroughly with the 3 tablespoons of olive oil (or your chosen alternative like avocado oil).
4-Season both sides: Season both sides generously with the ½ teaspoon of salt (or to taste), 2 teaspoons of paprika, and 1 tablespoon of garlic powder. If you want a kick, add red pepper flakes as desired.
5-Bake: Bake in the preheated oven at 400°F for approximately 25 minutes, until the edges are crispy, the leaves are browned, and the centers are tender.
6-Serve: Serve hot, and enjoy your simple seasoning cabbage steaks with their crispy edges straight from the oven.
Notes
🥬 For best texture, use thick slices about 3/4 to 1 inch.
🔥 Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
🌿 Try alternative oils like avocado or sunflower for different flavor profiles.
