πŸ§„ Cheesy Garlic Cruffin Recipe offers a deliciously savory twist with buttery garlic and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough.
🌿 This easy baked treat is perfect for savory snack lovers who enjoy a flavorful herb-infused bite, ideal for breakfast or any time of day.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cruffins 1x

Ingredients

Scale

3 tubes refrigerated crescent roll sheets for main dough base

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened) for filling mixture

1 tablespoon finely chopped chives for herb flavor in filling and topping

1 tablespoon minced garlic for garlic essence in filling and topping

3 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese for melted cheese filling

3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter for garlic butter topping

1 teaspoon kosher salt for seasoning for topping

Instructions

1-Preheat oven and prepare muffin tin: Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and greasing a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray to get ready for baking.

2-Roll out dough and add filling: Roll out each tube of dough into a 12 by 16-inch rectangle, seal any seams, and spread one-third of the butter mixture made from the softened butter, chives, and garlic over it, then add 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese on top.

3-Shape and bake the cruffins: For more flavor, roll the dough into a log and cut it lengthwise into four sections to make individual rolls before placing them in the muffin tin.

4-Shape and bake the cruffins: Bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes until they turn golden brown.

5-Prepare and apply the topping: Prepare the garlic butter topping by whisking together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped chives, and kosher salt.

6-Prepare and apply the topping: Brush this topping onto the warm cruffins right after they come out of the oven for that extra savory kick.

Notes

πŸ§€ Use different cheddar varieties or substitute scallions for chives to customize flavor.
πŸ₯ Puff pastry sheets can replace crescent dough but adjust baking time if needed.
❄️ Leftovers store well in an airtight container for up to 3 days; dough can be prepped ahead or cruffins frozen and reheated as desired.
