🍩 These Easy Churro Bites bring the beloved churro flavor into convenient, bite-sized treats that are quick to make.
✨ Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth with a crispy cinnamon sugar coating and tender inside.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar [Sweetens and coats for crunch]

– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon [Adds warm spice flavor]

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (plus more for frying) [Helps fry to golden perfection]

– 1/2 teaspoon salt [Balances the sweetness]

– 1 cup water [Mixes the dough smoothly]

– 1 cup all-purpose flour [Forms the dough base]

Instructions

1-Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish; set aside for coating later.

2-In a small nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, salt, and water until it boils.

3-Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough ball forms it’s that simple mix that sets the stage.

4-Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star-shaped tip, about 1/2 inch in diameter, for those classic shapes.

5-Heat vegetable or canola oil in a stockpot to 360°F using a deep-fry thermometer, filling it to about 4 inches deep.

6-Pipe dough into the hot oil, cutting into 1/2-inch lengths with scissors, and don’t overcrowd the pot.

7-Fry until golden brown, then transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper towels to drain.

8-While warm, roll the bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture for that perfect finish.

9-Repeat with the rest of the dough, keeping the oil at 360°F.

10-Serve right away with dipping sauces like chocolate, caramel, or strawberry for extra fun.

Notes

🔪 Use a deep-fry thermometer for consistent oil temperature and even frying.
⭐ A large star-shaped pastry tip (approx. 1/2 inch) gives authentic churro texture; if unavailable, pipe carefully.
🔥 Avoid overcrowding the pot to keep oil hot and prevent soggy bites.
