Instructions
1-Start by creaming the softened butter with the dark brown sugar until it’s light and fluffy this usually takes a few minutes with a mixer.
2-Mix in the flour, milk chocolate chips, instant coffee granules, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, and espresso powder if you’re using it, until everything combines into a dough.
3-Press this mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish to create an even base.
4-Bake the base for about 20 minutes, or until it sets up nicely.
5-While that’s baking, gently heat the sweetened condensed milk and unsalted butter over low heat until smooth, then stir in the vanilla extract.
6-Pour this topping over the baked layer and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.
7-Finish by sprinkling on the flaky sea salt and letting the bars cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cutting into 24 pieces.
