πŸ₯š Enjoy a quick and hearty breakfast sandwich combining fluffy eggs, savory ham, and melted cheddar cheese.
🍞 This Egg and Ham Breakfast Sandwich is perfect for busy mornings when you need a satisfying and flavorful meal fast.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 sandwich

Ingredients

– 3 large eggs, beaten Provides protein and a fluffy base

– ΒΌ teaspoon kosher salt Enhances overall flavor

– ΒΌ teaspoon white pepper Adds a subtle spice without dark specks

– 3 tablespoons butter, divided Used for cooking and toasting for rich taste

– 2 slices bread Serves as the hearty base

– 1 slice cheddar cheese Brings creaminess and melts beautifully

– 2 slices deli ham Delivers savory protein and flavor

Instructions

1-Gathering and Prepping Ingredients: First, gather all your ingredients and set up your cooking station. This includes slicing the bread and ham if needed, which helps everything move quickly. Once you’re organized, you’ll be ready to cook without any interruptions.

2-Cooking the Eggs and Assembling: Next, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter to melt. Crack the 3 large eggs into a bowl, beat them with ΒΌ teaspoon kosher salt and ΒΌ teaspoon white pepper, then pour into the skillet. Swirl the eggs to spread evenly and place the 2 slices of bread, buttered side up with the remaining 1 tablespoon butter, on top of the eggs.

3-Cooking the Eggs and Assembling: Cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes until the eggs set, then flip the eggs and bread together. Add the 1 slice of cheddar cheese to one bread slice, top with the 2 slices of deli ham, fold any excess egg over the ham, and cover with the second bread slice. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and everything is heated through. The total time is about 15 minutes, with 5 minutes prep and 10 minutes cooking.

Notes

🌢 White pepper avoids dark specks in eggs, but black pepper is a fine substitute.
πŸ”„ Flipping the eggs and bread together is key for a cohesive sandwich.
🍞 For a French toast-like texture, coat bread in beaten eggs instead of buttering one side, using only 2 tablespoons butter overall.
