Ingredients
– 2 pounds of steak, cut into one-inch bite-sized pieces (top sirloin is preferred, but New York strip, tenderloin, or rib eye can also be used)
– 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
– 2 teaspoons salt
– 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
– 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
– 6 cloves minced fresh garlic
– 1/4 cup chopped parsley (fresh is preferred, but dried can be used as an alternative)
– Green onion for garnish
Instructions
1-First, season the steak pieces evenly with 2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes if you want some spice. This step ensures every bite has great flavor from the start.
2-Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil to get it ready for searing.
3-Add the steak in a single layer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Work in batches if needed to avoid crowding the pan. Once done, remove the steak from the pan and drain any excess water from the skillet to keep things crisp.
4-Now, add 2 tablespoons butter or ghee to the pan and sauté 6 cloves minced fresh garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Return the steak to the pan and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, stirring to coat the meat in that delicious garlic butter sauce. Finally, remove from heat, stir in 1/4 cup chopped parsley, garnish with green onion, and serve immediately for the best taste.
Notes
🔥 Ensure skillet is hot before adding steak for a proper sear.
🥒 Add quick-cooking vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers for extra flavor.
🧄 Use fresh garlic for the best taste but pre-peeled works for convenience.
