🫓 This Flatbread recipe uses simple ingredients to create soft, flavorful breads topped with garlic and fresh herbs.
🌿 It’s easy to prepare and perfect for serving warm or at room temperature, ideal as a side or snack.

  • Total Time: 38 minutes
  • Yield: 6 flatbreads

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1 ½ teaspoons salt

– 2 tablespoons minced chives

– 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

– 1 ¼ cups plain full-fat Greek yogurt

– ¼ cup olive oil

– 3 cloves garlic

– ¼ cup water

Instructions

1-Making garlic flatbread at home is straightforward and rewarding. Start by gathering and preparing all your ingredients, as outlined earlier, to ensure smooth sailing. In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, and 1 ½ teaspoons salt for a solid base.

2-Next, mix in the 2 tablespoons minced chives and 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley to add fresh flavors. Stir in the 1 ¼ cups plain full-fat Greek yogurt until well combined. In another step, blend the ¼ cup olive oil with the 3 cloves garlic (pressed), then add this to the bowl along with the ¼ cup water to form a soft dough.

3-Avoid over-kneading the dough to keep it pliable; turn it onto a floured surface, divide into 6 equal portions, and shape each into a ball. Gently press each ball into a 6- to 7-inch flatbread form. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, brush one side of the flatbread with olive oil, and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds until golden. Flip and cook the other side for 1 minute and 15 to 30 seconds. If you’re looking for more garlic-inspired ideas, check out our garlic butter rice recipe for a complementary side dish.

Notes

🧀 Using full-fat Greek yogurt adds moisture and a slight tang.
🧄 Mixing olive oil with pressed garlic helps evenly distribute flavor.
🍽️ Gently pressing the dough shapes keeps it soft; no rolling pin needed.
