🥬 Green smoothies are packed with vitamins and minerals, making them a great way to boost your daily nutrition effortlessly.
🍹 This recipe is quick to prepare and can be customized easily to suit your taste preferences or dietary needs.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

– 1 cup frozen spinach or kale for essential iron and antioxidants

– ½ frozen banana to add natural sweetness and creaminess

– ½ tablespoon almond butter for a nutty flavor and healthy fats

– 1 to 2 cups peeled and frozen orange segments or frozen pineapple or mango chunks to provide sweetness and a tropical twist

– ½ teaspoon chia seeds (optional) to boost omega-3 fatty acids and fiber

– 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, plus more as needed to blend to keep the smoothie light and creamy

– Handful of ice to chill and thicken the mixture

Instructions

1-First, place the frozen spinach or kale, ½ frozen banana, ½ tablespoon almond butter, 1 cup of the frozen fruit, and ½ teaspoon chia seeds into your blender. This step ensures all the solids go in first for even mixing. Adding these together creates a base that’s full of flavor and nutrients.

2-Next, pour in 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and blend until smooth, adjusting with more milk if needed. This helps achieve the right consistency without any lumps. Once blended, add the handful of ice and blend again to make it extra cold and refreshing.

3-After the initial blend, taste your smoothie and add more frozen fruit if you want it sweeter. This step lets you customize based on your preferences, making it fun to experiment. Blend one more time until everything is perfectly smooth, adding almond milk as necessary to get it just right.

Notes

🌱 Use baby spinach if you prefer a milder green flavor or kale for a nutrient boost.
❄️ Freeze ripe bananas for natural sweetness and a creamier texture.
🥥 Substitute almond milk with coconut milk, oat milk, or orange juice for different flavors.
