🧀 Easy to prepare and bake, they deliver a delicious melty cheese experience with every bite that’s hard to resist.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 10-12 sliders

Ingredients

– 1 stick unsalted butter, melted

– 2 tablespoons finely grated onion (or 1 tablespoon onion granules)

– 4 finely grated garlic cloves (or 2 teaspoons garlic granules)

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (optional)

– 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (or sesame seeds as substitute)

– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

– 1 pound thinly sliced ham (leftover smoked, Black Forest, or deli ham)

– 6 slices Swiss cheese

– ½ pound Gruyère cheese, shredded

– 1 pack of sweet Hawaiian rolls sliced in half, keeping buns attached

Instructions

1-Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2-Whisk together melted butter, grated onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce (if using), poppy seeds, and Dijon mustard in a bowl; set aside.

3-Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a 13×9 inch casserole dish.

4-Cover the bottom buns evenly with the Swiss cheese slices.

5-Spread the ham slices evenly over the Swiss cheese, folding slices for extra thickness if desired.

6-Sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese evenly over the ham.

7-Place the top halves of the rolls onto the sliders.

8-Brush the butter mixture thoroughly over the tops and sides of the sliders.

9-Cover the casserole dish with foil; bake on the middle rack for 20 minutes.

10-Remove the foil and poke several holes in the tops of the buns with a paring knife to allow the butter mixture to soak in.

11-Bake uncovered for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted.

12-Serve warm.

Notes

🥯 Toast bottom buns briefly under the broiler before assembling to prevent sogginess.
🧈 Poking holes in the top buns after initial baking helps the butter mixture soak inside.
🧂 Fold ham slices for thicker, heartier sliders packed with flavor.
