🥩 Hoisin Beef and Shrimp combines sweet and savory flavors with tender beef and succulent shrimp for a balanced, delicious meal.
🍤 This recipe is perfect for a quick yet impressive dinner, packed with fresh vegetables and easy to prepare at home.

  • Total Time: 37 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 450 grams Beef sirloin, thinly sliced

– 225 grams Shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 30 milliliters Hoisin sauce

– 15 milliliters Soy sauce

– 15 milliliters Rice vinegar

– 15 milliliters Toasted sesame oil

– 1 medium Red bell pepper, sliced

– 150 grams Broccoli florets

– 30 milliliters Vegetable oil

– 2 cloves Garlic, minced

Instructions

1-Combine hoisin sauce (30 ml), soy sauce (15 ml), rice vinegar (15 ml), and sesame oil (15 ml) in a bowl to make the marinade. This step infuses the proteins with that signature sweet-savory taste.

2-Toss beef slices (450 grams) and shrimp (225 grams) in the marinade and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Letting it sit helps the flavors meld, just like marinating makes everyday meals feel extra special.

3-Heat vegetable oil (30 ml) in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté minced garlic (2 cloves) for 1 minute until fragrant. This sets the base for the dish’s aroma and brings everything to life.

4-Add marinated beef and shrimp, cook for 5 to 7 minutes until beef is brown and shrimp are opaque pink, stirring occasionally. For more ideas on stir-fries, check out our chicken stir-fry recipe that pairs well with this one.

5-Add sliced red bell pepper (1 medium) and broccoli florets (150 grams), sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. This adds crunch and color, making the plate look as good as it tastes.

6-Pour remaining marinade into the skillet, stir and cook for 2 more minutes until heated through. It’s a simple way to tie all the flavors together for a cohesive meal.

7-Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles. I love adding a fresh twist, like from our spicy Thai chicken stir-fry, to keep things varied.

Notes

🥩 Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
🍤 Avoid overcooking shrimp to keep them juicy.
🔥 Let the pan heat fully before adding proteins to get a good sear.
