Ingredients
– 1 pound imitation crab meat (flaked or sliced sticks)
– Half a cup finely chopped celery
– Three tablespoons finely chopped red onion
– Half a teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
– Two teaspoons lemon juice
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– Half a cup mayonnaise
– One and a half tablespoons chopped fresh dill
– Extra dill for garnish if desired
Instructions
1-First: shred or flake 1 pound of imitation crab meat and finely chop the half cup of celery and three tablespoons of red onion.
2-In a large bowl, add the crab meat, celery, red onion, half a teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning, two teaspoons of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, half a cup of mayonnaise, and one and a half tablespoons of chopped fresh dill.
3-Stir everything gently until it’s evenly combined, which takes just about 1 minute.
4-You can serve it right away for a fresh taste or chill it in the fridge for up to two days to let the flavors blend.
5-Once mixed, taste and adjust seasonings as needed maybe a bit more lemon juice for extra zing.
Notes
🌿 Use fresh dill for best flavor; dried dill can be substituted (about 1/2 teaspoon).
🧅 Finely chop red onion or substitute with green onions for a milder taste.
🥄 Use low-fat mayonnaise to reduce calories without compromising creaminess.
