Ingredients
14 ounce bag mini smoked sausages
2 cans crescent roll dough (each can cut in half)
8 jalapenos (stems and seeds removed, cut into fourths)
4 ounces softened cream cheese
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 cooked bacon slices, crumbled
½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1-Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2-Cut crescent roll dough in half to create 16 strips per can; set aside.
3-Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, Cajun seasoning, garlic salt, and black pepper.
4-Prepare jalapenos: Cut in half vertically, remove seeds and membranes, rinse, then cut each half horizontally to create four pieces per jalapeno.
5-Bake jalapeno pieces on a lined baking sheet for 15 minutes; allow to cool.
6-Fill each cooled jalapeno piece with the cream cheese mixture. Top each filled piece with a mini smoked sausage. Wrap each assembly with a strip of crescent dough.
7-Place wrapped jalapenos on a baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
8-Serve immediately.
Notes
🧤 Wear gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid irritation.
🌶️ Removing seeds and membranes reduces heat for balanced flavor.
🧀 Customize the cream cheese filling by adding or substituting cheeses like mozzarella or feta.
