Ingredients
– 1 pound uncooked hot sausage
– 1 cup cooked chopped bacon
– 1 (8-ounce) package softened cream cheese
– 1 (4-ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers, undrained
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1½ cups biscuit mix
– 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions
1-Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get everything set for baking.
2-In a bowl, use an electric stand mixer with a dough hook, or mix by hand with a spoon, to combine all the ingredients until well mixed. This includes the 1 pound uncooked hot sausage, 1 cup cooked chopped bacon, 1 (8-ounce) package softened cream cheese, 1 (4-ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1½ cups biscuit mix, and 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend.
3-Scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls for uniform size and easy handling.
4-Place the balls onto a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
5-Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the balls are nicely browned and cooked through.
Notes
🌶️ Use canned diced jalapenos or fresh diced jalapenos for extra heat.
🍗 Substitute turkey sausage for a leaner option.
❄️ Freeze shaped balls on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag; bake from frozen adding a few minutes to baking time.
