Ingredients
– 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs (room temperature)
– 2 cups creamy peanut butter
– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar for rolling
Instructions
1-First, whisk together 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl.
2-Next, cream 1 cup unsalted butter with 1 cup granulated sugar and 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar until smooth using a mixer.
3-Add 2 large eggs and beat until fully combined.
4-Mix in 2 cups creamy peanut butter and 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract.
5-Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing on low until just combined, then stir in 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
6-Cover the dough and chill it for at least 1 hour or up to 3 days for the best texture.
7-Preheat your oven to 350Β°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
8-Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough per cookie, optionally roll in 1/2 cup granulated sugar, place on sheets, and slightly flatten each one.
9-Bake for 14 to 15 minutes until the edges are set but the centers remain soft, then cool on the sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
Notes
π₯ Use creamy peanut butter for the best texture; avoid natural or crunchy.
β³ Chilling the dough for at least 1 hour prevents excessive spreading during baking.
π« Consider replacing half the chocolate chips with chopped peanuts for added crunch.
