Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

– 1 chopped onion

– 2 teaspoons crushed fresh garlic

– 450 grams lean ground beef

– 2 finely chopped green chilies

– 1 chopped red bell pepper

– 1 can (410 grams) chopped tomatoes

– 10 to 15 pitted and roughly chopped black olives

– 3 tablespoons seedless raisins

– Salt to taste

– Pepper to taste

– 2 teaspoons sugar

– 1 can (410 grams) rinsed and drained red kidney beans for the side

– Approximately 6 cups cooked white rice for the side

Instructions

1-Gather and prep all ingredients to make cooking smooth.

2-Sauté onion and garlic in oil for 3-5 minutes.

3-Brown the ground beef for about 7-10 minutes.

4-Add chilies, bell pepper, tomatoes, and simmer.

5-Stir in olives, raisins, salt, pepper, and sugar, then simmer another 10 minutes.

6-For the side, mix 1 can of red kidney beans with 6 cups of cooked rice.
