πŸ§€ The easy-to-make casserole offers rich, creamy flavors and makes for a perfect weeknight dinner or cozy gathering dish.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: About 4-6 servings

Ingredients

– 16 ounces frozen potato pierogies

– 14 ounces kielbasa sausage, sliced

– 1/2 cup chicken broth

– 1/2 cup sour cream

– 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

– 3 green onions, sliced

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar preferred)

Instructions

1-First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9 x 13 inch casserole pan with cooking spray. Place the 16 ounces of frozen potato pierogies and the 14 ounces of sliced kielbasa sausage into the casserole pan. In a medium bowl, mix the 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup chicken broth, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and half of the 3 sliced green onions.

2-Pour this mixture over the pierogies and sausage in the pan. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle the 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top, then bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese melts. Top with the remaining sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

🌭 Substitute kielbasa with other smoked sausages like turkey or chicken sausage.
πŸ§€ Use freshly shredded cheese from a block for better melting and flavor.
❄️ Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days; reheat before serving.
