🦐 Elevate your brunch game with these elegant shrimp-stuffed croissants that combine flaky pastry with creamy seafood filling
🥐 Perfect for special occasions or when you want to impress guests with minimal effort

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 4 large croissants (store-bought or fresh)

– ½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

– 1 tbsp butter

– 1 garlic clove, minced

– 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped

– ¼ cup cream cheese, softened

– 2 tbsp mayonnaise

– ½ cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère cheese

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

– Extra chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

1-First, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté 1 minced garlic clove for about 30 seconds. Then add the ½ lb chopped shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper, cooking until the shrimp turn pink, about 2 3 minutes. This step infuses the shrimp with flavor and sets the foundation for the filling.

2-Next, in a mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, ½ cup shredded cheese, the cooked shrimp, and 2 tablespoons chopped chives until everything is creamy and well mixed. Slice the 4 croissants lengthwise without cutting through completely and fill them generously with this mixture.

3-Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place the stuffed croissants on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush the tops with 1 beaten egg if you want a golden finish, then bake for 8 10 minutes until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese has melted. Finally, garnish with extra chives or parsley and serve warm.

Notes

🦐 Avoid overcooking shrimp during sautéing as they will continue cooking in the oven
🧊 Croissants can be preassembled and refrigerated up to 12 hours before baking
🔥 Reheat leftovers in an air fryer or oven to preserve flakiness, avoiding the microwave
