Ingredients
– 4 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
1-Place the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a food processor or blender.
2-Puree the mixture until smooth, which takes approximately 1-2 minutes.
3-Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed and continue processing until fully smooth.
4-Transfer the puree to an airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
Notes
π Use fresh or frozen strawberries for similar results.
π₯ To thicken, simmer puree with water until reduced by half.
πͺ Strain puree through fine mesh or cheesecloth for a seed-free texture.
