Ingredients
– 1 cup tomato sauce
– 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
– 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
– 1/4 cup honey
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 2 fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
– 1/2 cup peach preserves
Instructions
1-First, prepare the fresh peaches by washing, peeling, and chopping them into small pieces.
2-Second, in a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.
3-Third, heat the mixture over medium heat and bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
4-Fourth, cook for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5-Fifth, stir in the peach preserves and remove from heat.
6-Sixth, taste and adjust seasoning as needed, then let it cool before serving.
Notes
π Use fresh peaches for the best flavor, but frozen peaches work well if thawed and drained.
πΆοΈ Adjust cayenne pepper to control the heat level for your preference.
π This sauce pairs wonderfully with grilled chicken and pork for a sweet and spicy flavor combo.
