🍬 Sweet and crunchy, this holiday Chex mix is perfect for festive snacking and sharing with loved ones.
πŸŽ‰ A delightful combination of cereals, nuts, coconut, and a sweet buttery coating makes this snack irresistible during the holiday season.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 18 servings

Ingredients

– 3 cups crisp rice cereal

– 3 cups corn cereal squares

– 3 cups cinnamon-flavored toasted oat cereal

– 1 1/2 cups mixed unsalted or lightly salted nuts (such as sliced almonds, peanuts, cashews)

– 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 cup light corn syrup

– 3/4 cup salted butter (unsalted butter can be used with 1/4 tsp added salt)

– 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

1-In a large bowl, toss together the crisp rice cereal, corn cereal squares, cinnamon-flavored toasted oat cereal, mixed nuts, and coconut; set aside.

2-In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, light corn syrup, and butter.

3-Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat while stirring occasionally.

4-Allow the mixture to boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5-Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract (if using), and carefully pour the sugar mixture over the cereal mixture.

6-Toss gently to coat evenly.

7-Store the finished mix in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

🌑️ Make sure the sugar mixture reaches a full boil before starting the 2-minute timer to get the perfect coating texture.
πŸ₯₯ Don’t skip the shredded coconut; it adds a great flavor and texture contrast.
🌰 Use a mix of nuts like peanuts, almonds, cashews, pecans, and walnuts for a variety of flavors and crunch.
