β…“ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1Β½ cups warm milk at 110 degrees

5 tablespoons softened butter

1 egg at room temperature

2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing

2-Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; stir and wait 5-10 minutes until foamy.

3-Mix in melted butter, egg, salt, and flour gradually to make a soft dough.

4-Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth; adjust for gluten-free as needed.

5-Let dough rise in an oiled bowl for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.

6-Punch down, divide, and shape into rolls on a greased sheet.

Notes

🧈 Use room temperature ingredients to help the dough rise properly and achieve the best texture.
🍽️ Make sure to knead the dough until elastic; this develops gluten for soft, fluffy rolls.
🌑️ Check your oven temperature with an oven thermometer to ensure even baking and perfect golden tops.
